Hi Joyce Just a bit of information re: perhaps a potential effect of comfrey taken internally. My neighbour raised goats and used the meat. The year that she grew and fed comfrey leaves to the goats she found white spots on the liver. This condition had never been noticed before so she removed the comfrey from the diet and the livers did not exhibit the white spots.
