Hello Everyone, I guess a doctor is like anything else, some are good and some are bad. I loved the post that said "What do they call the Dr. at the bottom of the class. DOCTOR! This sums it up. I think what it comes down to is common sense and knowledge. Of course, us being computer user/owners, we have access to all kinds of information on every subject. Especially medial information.
If you are planning on having a surgical procedure, I recommend calling the Medical Society of the County or Parish the doctor practices. You can not get specific information but you can find out if and how many complaints and or law suites a doctor has had brought against him or her. Ask to speak with some of the other patients this doctor has treated or operated on. You have every right to know these things and ask questions. And now days there is no reason ever why your doctor should not or resists to video the surgery. Even if a doctor you trust refers you to another doctor, this does not mean much the doc may be a friend of your doc and talent is not part of the referral decision. I had a very serious problem from a situation like this. All it takes is one bad surgeon or treatment to change your life forever. Hopefully due to CS we will be avoiding these situations.
