Well you are probably right about toxins in cologne, but I don't think that is exactly what causes it to be able to strip paint. You might have seen the newer citrus paint strippers. They work pretty well and I don't think that you would consider citrus a toxin. In cologne, I would just guess that it is the alcohol that does the work on the paint.
On the issue of Alzheimer's, I read something the other day that they were beginning to suspect Selenium may play a role. Great, I've only been taking a selenium supplement for about 20 years or so.
