Dear silver soluters,
I read somewhere that only one electrode(the anode..+ve.?)in this process
has to be
silver,the other(cathode...-ve) can be stainless steel.Is this correct?I am
asking because in my attempts I am observing such an arrangement causing the
stainless
steel electrode to darken (electroplating?)and grow "tendrils" which begin
to reach
towards the silver electrode. There is also a very slight "milky cloud"
around the stainless steel electrode but I can't observe anything coming off
the silver electrode.
However, the silver electrode retains its bright finish.Does anyone here see
any problems with this(this is a first batch).
May the Real Silver reach you,
pete
