YEAR 2000 - MILLENIUM BUG "Y2K" JUDGMENT [Source: The Staff and Sword Ministry, with quotes from McAlvany Intelligence Advisor, etc.] BACKGROUND The terms "Millennium bug" or "Y2K" refers to how the computer's internal clock interprets the date after the year 2000. In order to save storage space, computer programmers wrote two digits (98) instead of four (1998). So most main frame computers will be written as 1900, not 2000, causing the calculations to go HAYWIRE at 12:00 Midnight, on January 1, 2000 (a Saturday morning), giving bad data. Dates are important for Social Security pensions, Medicare, retirement benefits, driver's licenses, voter registration, school grades, salary increases, tax codes, tax payments or refunds, seniority, overtime, credit cards, etc. Tracking time is absolutely essential in the military and navigational systems. Without accurate timing, the computerized navigational systems on trains, airlines, missiles, ships, submarines, in satellites, nuclear power plants, etc. will malfunction, give erroneous information, or crash. To correct the problem, hundreds of billions of lines of computer code must be searched line by line to find the date, and billions of embedded chips must be found and fixed. Documents on chip location is often poor or nonexistent, and the "fix" is very complicated. Most of the mainframes were programmed with COBOL, an outdated (obsolete) computer language which few programmers know today. WHAT CAN HAPPEN IN YEAR 2000 1. INSTRUMENTS--When a Hospital advanced an internal embedded chip clock to January 1, 2000 on a Respirator, the Respirator instantly stopped working. 2. STOCK MARKET/MONEY--"This is not a prediction, it is a certainty - There will be serious disruption in the world's financial services industry. I cant' tell whether it's going to be 10% business failure, or a meltdown, but it's going to be ugly. It will start with a millennium-induced crash of the world's stock markets around the middle of 1999" [the Sunday Times, London 8/3/97] 3. POWER GRID FAIL-McAlvany's report addresses this equally serious problem, for it is very likely that the whole U.S. Power grid will crash 1/1/2000-meaning there will simply be NO electric power anywhere in North America or anywhere else for that matter. No electric power, no water, no food, no gas, no banks, no jobs, no money. 4. NO FOOD?--Most American cities have only a few days of reserve food. Panic will set in, shelves will empty--then what? 5. PLANES GROUNDED-Some airlines are already planing to ground planes. Lloyds of London will NOT insure airlines not Y2K compliant. 6. THE SCOPE IS MIND-BOGGLING-The BANKING SYSTEM is 100% computer reliant, the STOCK MARKET is 100% reliant on computers, so is the PHONE SYSTEM and the RAILROADS (which ship the bulk of our food and fuels). 7. "When the Hawaiian Electric utility in Honolulu ran tests on its system to see if it would be affected by the Y2K Bug, "basically, it just stopped working." Says system analyst Wendell Ito. Virtually all insurance companies are saying that the Y2K crisis is NOT an "ACT OF GOD," and they will not pay on disasters or financial losses precipitated by Y2K." LEADERSHIP FAILS - IT'S TOO LATE Clinton failed to take a leadership role until it is now too late. In USA Today (February 5, 1998), article headlined, "Clinton Orders Attack on Year 2000 Computer Bug." "With 694 days left until a massive computer failure forecast to accompany the new century, President Clinton Wednesday (2/4/98) created a powerful new council to solve the complex problem Clinton wrote in his executive order, WHICH FOLLOWED MONTHS OF CONGRESSIONAL PRESSURE." THE JUDGMENT WARNING JESUS CHRIST Apostle/Prophet: My name is Johnel, and I'm an Apostle/Prophet of JESUS CHRIST. Unlike the computer experts who are uncertain of just "how" bad the Y2K problem will be, I have a way to know that it will be quite "bad." JESUS' WORD: Back in 1977 JESUS showed me visions of a coming judgment on America, and He told me about it, giving me details to augment what He showed me. People questioned "how" such a thing could possibly happen to America all at once, but the Y2K crisis easily explains that. Computer experts foresee possible disruptions in food supplies, in the breakdown of power generators, in the shortage f fuels, and perceive that there will be nationwide panic, fear and destructions. This is an extract from what JESUS told me on April 21, 1977 about the coming SUDDEN judgment on America; HE said, 'PANIC AND FEAR WILL GRIP THE NATION. FOOD COSTS TO SOAR, AVAILABILITY DECLINES, HOARDING MAGNIFIES THE PROGBELMHUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS WILL WANT FOR FOOD AND STARVATION BEGINS" (JESUS' Word April 21, 1977) In April of 1977 JESUS spoke of a three-year period of intense judgments what simply got progressively worse from year to year. We perceive that this three-year judgment will begin in either the Year 2000 or 2001. Doubtless, the Y2K computer crisis is going to be an integral part of the troubles. This adversity will be widespread and will involve more than just computers; however, the computer problem appears to be the cause of much of the trouble (but not all). In 1977 JESUS in speaking of this time also said, "LITTLE WINTER SNOW, BUT INTENSE COLD AND LITTLE HEAT IN MOST AMERICAN HOMES." Consider what Jesus IS SAYING, THAT most EVERY American home will be without heat in a severe cold winter. The Computer meltdown will come at the end of December, 1999-winter time! JESUS also said, "AFTER A MONTH OF INTENSE COLD, MANY WILL FREZE TO DEATH, WITH LITTLE FOODTO THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW JESUS, SUICIDE WILL BECOME COMMON, CITY SERVICES WILL BRAK DOWN MID-WINTER, FIRES WILL BURN UNCHECKED, THE DEAD THAT FALL IN THE STREETS WILL LIE IN THE STREETS. DISEASE WILL FLOURISHOVER HALF THE NATION'S EMPLOYED WILL BE WITHOUT WORK AND THE DOLLAR WILL BE WORTHLESS" (JESUS to Johnel, April 21, 1977). This is the "worse case scenario" of the Year 2000 meltdown presented by McAlvany!) In the second year of this judgment, JESUS said, "POWER DIVERTED TO MAJOR INSTITUTIONS, HOSPITALS, ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS. FOOD LINES AND ECONOMY NEAR COLLAPSE. UNITED STATES CRUDE OIL IMORTS CUT OFF BY MOST OIL PRODUCERSEVERYTHING IS FAILING. ONLY THE CHRISTIANS HAVE THE STRENGTH TO ACT, AND THE HAND OF GOD WILL BE CLEARLY VISIBLE TO ALL IN THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES" (JESUS' Word, April 21, 1997). COMMENT [Note: I met Johnel in 1981 when he was circling the United States, calling people TO PRAY because judgment was coming to America and the World. GOD'S PERFECT WILL was for MERCY, NOT JUDGMENT. But MEN CHOSE JUDGMENTS by NOT PRAYING, and what Jesus warned about (STORMS, EARTHQUAKE, VOLCANOES, DISEASE, TOTAL ECONOMIC COLLAPSE, WAR ) is here or very close. (e.g., Johnel warned about "healthy men wasting away"-AIDS is called the "wasting away disease"; he warned about storms-1982-1983's El Nino was a foretaste of El Nino today (which he says is caused by magna rising up from cracks in the earth's mantle, warming the oceans). Johnel warned about a "little star" heading for earth, long before scientists took the danger seriously. He warned about volcanoes (one geologist said Johnel was 6 years ahead of them.)
