Hi bjs, list,

I recall mention of mushrooms being one of the foods naturally high 
in silver. There were also those reports back in the 40's or 50's 
talking about silver in the diet, to the tune of 50 micrograms per 
day or so. That was considered inadequate at the time, due to mineral 
depletion of the soils used in commercial farming. So how much worse 
is it now?

So you're quite right, plant sources for *everything* we need would
be beneficial. But, short of massive redesign of commercial
agriculture, how on earth would we achieve it?

Specifically culturing plants in high silver content soils and 
concentrating the results could maybe produce a useful silver 
preparation. But the development and testing would be just as 
demanding as anything we need to do for CS.

Just random reflections on a good idea.
