Hello, I just talked to a fellow in California who started out with a 27 volt battery powered CS generator, which produced an amber product. He had a friend make a 170 volt DC generator which makes a clear solution which lasts much longer. He states that the clear solution has smaller silver particles and has stronger bacteriostatic/cidal properties. He states that clear has the smallest particle size, amber has a larger particle size, and gray has a particle size that is much too large. I would like to build a 170 volt dc CS generator, but he doesn't have the plans and is electronically illiterate, so he can't open up the device and draw a plan. I hope to pursue this further and obtain plans for this device. Any thoughts on what he had to say about color and particle size?

The important questions are: - does it matter whether or not the CS is 'oxidized'? - is the 'oxidized' CS noticeably less effective than 'unoxidized' CS? fred -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
