Rob Grant, your CS journey is just beginning. CS at 500 ppm ?? Must taste awful!! Almost syrappy!!
I find that between 5 and 15 ppm is just right. I brew at about 80ppm and then add water to my daily water bottle to an average of 10ppm. I also find that I can now taste at this strength and the taste is pleasant without being overpowering. I cant drink water with more than 20ppm. My ppm isa guess until I get my ppm meter from Gerald. Of all the reading I've done and my own CS regime, now almost 12 months, of daily use, kone one sips constantly all thru the day. This keeps your water intake up above the norm and keeps rinsing thru your mouth teeth and gums and hopefully some silver reaches the kidneys and bladder. Remember most people dont drink enough water anyway, and by drinking a 5/10ppm thru your day in just mouthfulls, one goes thru a pint / 600mls very easily . Chris Gupta's question about teeth fillings/amalgam. My recent trip to the dentist confirmed my feeling, that is the feeling in my mouth and teeth, that plaque build-up was less than usual. I feel that my fillings are as strong as they should be as less bacteria build-up due to the regular CS intake keeps my mouth cleaner and the teeth and gums healthier. You can easily confirm the lack of bacteria buildup. Take a good quality dental type tooth-pick and after softening the pick, (suck for some minutes to soften) insert into your back teeth. You will be able to smell (pew) the bacteria build-up during the day. You sip your pint of CS a day at a 5/10ppm strength, take the time to swill thru the mouth, teeth and gums, before swallowing. You will find that almost no bacteria accumulates in those back teethy areas. I find that brushing twice a day with the cheapest toothpaste is just fine. I must say that I'm very particular with the type abd shape of my toothbrush. The individual brush elements are important. I prefer coarser ones around the shape with finer nylon elements in the middle of the brush area. I certainly don't use the most expensive t/brushes. But I do try many of the cheaper ones and when I find a really good one, usually about a 3 pack for $3.00, I buy a stack and stock-up. Yes! I'm very particular about the health of my teeth and gums now, having once had a mild gum disease, but never again!! I used to get stabs of pain under my gold crown, as I believe bacteria would build up in my gum tissue in and possibly under the crown, thus rendering the area sensitive and painful on occasions. I believe my CS regime has now fixed this problem. Soo! . . . ssip that there silver!! Douglas H Sydney, Oz -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
