I just rec'd the ppm meter from Gerald Perry. It's a cute little guy!

Readings are stable and repeatable, at least over the span of a few
minutes, so I've seen electronics that were *much* worse!

We'll make up some test solutions to see just what it does with
various dissolved substances, and get a feeling for its accuracy.

It didn't agree with the stuff I had tested at the environmental lab.
Those two samples showed 14 and 17ppm vs the 22 and 24ppm the lab
gave me. But I have no clue what's been happening to the ppm as the
stuff sat, for instance, or the true error bars on their measurement.

My current batch shows 21 ppm, for what that's worth. Same protocol,
but I've not had it tested.

So, I'm thinking of several simple tests, involving one or two more
samples for the lab and comparison readings, other materials, etc.

Rose is going to help me out a bit. She's got access to decent
balances and lots of different materials.

We'll let you know asap. THANK YOU GERALD!!!

Mike
