This is the complete posting I meant to send to the list. It turns
out I just sent it to FRED and not the list, and I'm resending it
now. Notice the PS at the end. I should listen to myself!

Hi, Fred! Welcome to the list.

I've been reading up on CS since march or april of 1997. I don't
remember seeing any comments about use of CS in pregnancy, one way or
the other. I'm sure if anyone knows of something or has any personal
experience they'll let us know.

Just what sort of condition would she be thinking about treating?

In any case, study all you can find, and make sure the woman herself
knows enough to make an informed decision.

Among the questions I would consider is just *what* colloidal silver
preparation are you talking about? Is it characterized well enough to
know the ppm and particle size?

I just did an Infoseek search on +colloidal +silver +pregnant and
turned up a few relevant hits. The upshot is: NOBODY WANTS TO STICK
THEIR NECK OUT!

A typical message looked like this:

> WARNING: If you are pregnant or nursing or have any allergic
> reactions to trace minerals consult your health care professinal
> (sic) before using the product.

If you could get the blessings of a physician who was sympathetic to
"alternative" medicine items like CS, that would be wonderful. Good
luck finding one, especially ob/gyn.

If *my* wife were pregnant and wanted to use CS, I would be quite
comfortable with it.

Be well.

Mike
