>Most water filters like Britta and Pur will only remove chlorine. Does anyone know of a filter that will remove flouride?<
Well I have spent countless hours investigating this very subject as I found out about 5 months ago that I am allergic to flouride. Reverse Osmosis filters will remove flouride as will distillation. There is also a filter called activated alumina that I understand will also remove it. At this point I buy my water at my local healthfood store for only .39 a gallon. They have a filtering system there that removes it. The undersink model of the reverse osmosis is not that cost prohibitive, around $200-300 depending on brand. I was told that the activated alumina filtering system was mainly used for industrial purposes and not for household use. I haven't looked into home distillation but know that these systems are also available for home use. I use Tom's of Maine toothpaste w/o flouride also.
