Peter,
Tests have been done on gold CS, particle size being between 0.015 and
0.005 Micron or 15 and 5 Nanometer. The predominant size I would guess
would be in the middle to upper of that range. Clear CS has been
tested to be predominantly 0.007 micron or 7 nanometer.
Yellow - Green is the first colour seen after a clear solution, then
Yellow
Orange
Red
Purple etc.

Pink suggests some white (large) particles, is the solution cloudy at
all?
In any case, the gold CS has the smaller particles of the two.
I would be interested to know what the changes in generating
parameters were.
