One can have nuerological symptoms without the lymes getting across the
barrier.  Just because you have lymes and have those symptoms does not mean that
it has to have crossed the barrier.  When I was researching the blood brain
barrier last year I found a reference which gave which elements that had
channels for crossing the barrier, and which did not, and silver was listed as
not being able to cross the barrier.  Unfortunately I am unable to put my hands
on that reference again right now, but I will see if I can find it again.
