Re: Diabetes

One person with whom I work has had to cut his insulin dose in half
following several months of consuming unknown small amounts of HVAC CS.

Since this is not a "scientific study" there is no way to know the cause of
the change, but it is encouraging. If, as current information seems to
indicate, more diseases than thought are caused by biological agents, then
silver's effect on such a wide range of conditions may be explained in the
future by understanding what it is eliminating as a problem.

Subject: CS>Re: Nizoral question

Hey you guys are all great! I got more responses from the silver list than
I got from the yeast list which surprised me. Thanks to you all who
responded.

Some of you mentioned athlete's foot. I didn't mean to give the impression
that my husband has athlete's foot. He doesn't. He had it years and years
ago when he was in the army. But then I think almost all the men had it! My
husband has nail fungus under all 20 nails. His nails are extremely
deformed. Some of them hardly even look like nails. He has tried tea tree
oil on his fingernails with no luck. The part I didn't like about that
stuff is that it smells terribly. I don't know how they expect people to
use it. But I guess I would have put up with anything if it had worked.

You aren't going to believe what I'm about to tell you regarding the Atkins
diet. (I'm tired of writing "my husband". His name is Loren. There, that's
better isn't it (grin) ). Loren went on the Atkins diet on March 31 of this
year. He needed to lose about 25 pounds and when he heard it was good for
his heart and that it involved eating a lot of meat, he decided it was
right for him. He's been absolutely faithful to the diet. Hasn't lost much
weight during this time (only 6.5 pounds in 2.5 months) but he's happy it's
coming off slowly. He doesn't mind the way of eating at all. Never
complains about it. He's usually in mild to moderate ketosis as he uses the
ketostix.

Now, here's the real puzzler. Having just seen his VA doctor on the 9th
(the same one that put him on the Nizoral) he informed him that he's now
borderline diabetic!!! I was never so shocked in my life!!! Been really
bummed out about it. I thought this way of eating was supposed to be good
for diabetics to go on and not cause the opposite reaction! He has NEVER
had a blood sugar problem in the past nor has anyone in his family. He
didn't get the blood sugar level reading so I've got to call and find out.
Also I bought one of those home tests for blood sugar levels but haven't
had a chance to use it yet. Any ideas on how this could happen?? When he
went on the Atkins diet I joined a very active Atkins e-mail list just to
help him out. There were many many people on that list that were diabetic
and then went on this diet and now they're either able to cut down on their
insulin or even eliminate it completely. So I am totally puzzled. I
subsequently had to drop that list as it involved another 50 e-mails a day
that I couldn't handle.

As far as what Michael said about why is the doctor suddenly in such a
hurry to get rid of this fungus? That was exactly my reaction. Loren said
the doctor said that it could spread up his arms. Well, it's already been
that way for years now! He has red raw-looking spots on his arms and the
backs of his hands are dry and white and cracked. He calls them Mickey
Mouse hands (grin). In fact, years ago a different doctor who was a Chief
of Staff of a local hospital tried to convince him that it was skin cancer
on his arms. I knew darn well it wasn't.

Yes, Michael, you're probably right about the dieoff being who knows what
and not necessarily the same fungus. Or even a fungus at all. I have
candida real bad so we could very well be passing something back and forth
between us. Also, what is griseofulvin? I can't believe that I've never
heard of this as I've read tons of fungus material over the years. No, the
doctor did not do a fungus culture. Yes, he should have.

Thanks so much again you guys and gals. You've been wonderful. I know some
of this is off topic but I have heard it said that a fungus infection could
possibly be the reason or one of the reasons for artery buildup. Sounds
crazy but who knows.

Still searching for answers,

Sharon
