All the time I have lived here (27 years) we have seen commercial aircraft flying at very high altitude (they're just a shiny speck in the sky) leaving very long contrails that last at least a half hour before disappearing. They're always going in the same direction and will generally see more than on contrail at a time, sometimes as many as five or six at once. Much overseas air traffic flies over this area. When my step daughter travelled from the Detroit area to Germany she said they flew over Sault Ste. Marie (which is close to us) so I would assume that is the shortest path. At any rate we definitely live on a very high altitude commercial aircraft flight path and they most definitely leave contrails. We never see anything coming down from the skies and the air here is some of the purest in the world. Sharon P.S. BTW, where do some of you people live? What city is this happening over that you actually see these patterns? -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
