The less bubbling and misting the better, this means you are not wasting energy forming Hydrogen gas at the cathode, and are generating small particles. 20 minutes sounds a bit short to me, can you tell me what voltage the unit operates at, and what is the wetted depth of the electrodes, how far apart and the volume of water? I should invest in a cheap laser pointer. You will then be able to see silver colloid in otherwise clear water.
