There has been talk on the list of cayenne being very good for the heart, but I think you have to take a half a teaspoon in some kind of liquid for it to do good. Dee

Depends on the cayenne - as with all things, not all brands are the same.

Among many other things, quality cayenne is an excellent source of magnesium - aka the 'heart vitamin'. It also dilates the blood vessels to an extent, and so can help with high BP in certain cases.
