I drink tea at work. The water from the city where I work has so many
minerals in it that it produces a huge amount of foam and the water
turns black (and tastes kind of sodiumy). For this reason, I bring
water from home which is much less hard but still produces a bit of foam
and leaves a bit of stain in the cup which builds up if I don't wash it.
When I run out of this water I sometimes use a cup or two of distilled
water to make a cup. After one or two cups, the stain and residue in
the mug is gone. So, the distilled water is obviously dissolving these
mineral residues.

Whether this translates into therapeutic action in the body is not
clear. Some say that drinking some minerals in water is beneficial,
some say that you should drink distilled water so you are only ingesting
pure water, and some say that drinking distilled water will deplete the
body of minerals.

I actually like the idea that Mike recently mentioned, that of drinking
distilled water and adding an amount of Concentrace liquid mineral
concentrate to it to give it desirable minerals and make it fit to
drink, as far as taste is concerned.

City water is high in Calciums and possibly Iron, with chlorine and
fluoride among other things. Concentrace is high in Magnesium and has
other trace minerals in it.

Hi Somewhat OT, but with the discussions of concentrace etc, it reminded
me
to ask.

What do people think of the discussions between distilled water and
ionized
water for drinking?

Thanks
