Hi, Sol, Thanks for your understanding message! And for all the possible
consequences you list. I am thinking that there may be a chance that I will
end up having to use a bag after all since the lower end of my colon looks
awfully strange on the X-ray. I have a friend who has to use a bag and her
situation seems to be just fine. She had her surgery several years ago, with
a life or death situation. Mine has not reached that proportion as yet, at
least I think it hasn't , although in the mornings, I wonder. And with my
weight loss . Today I had a nuclear stress test to determine if my heart is
okay for such surgery. I didn't eat from 5:30a.m. until 3 p.m. I continued
to have the familiar burning during those hours, but my legs were working
very well for a change. There are a number of very strange things that seem
to go on with my body. Don't have time tonight to enumerate, Have an
appointment tomorrow with the surgeon who would do this surgery, one who
does only colon-rectal surgery. Will see what he has to say and ask
questions, as many as there are time for. Need to get my list finalized.
Ruth
