I have read that H2O2 is very effective on some types of flesh eating bacteria. This would be applied topically. CS mixed with DMSO applied topically should also help. If it were me, and the infection were deep and draining, I would attempt back irrigation with a hypo or syringe with CS mixed with DMSO.

One of my relatives has been finned by catfish.

This has been associated with "Flesh Eating Syndrome" and one friend of mine died within 24 hours after being finned.

Anyway you cut it, this is bad news.

He was finned on both his hard and leg. The hand has healed somewhat but the leg has a large black spot and he has had surgery already. The infection is very deep and is draining a lot.

Any ideas or suggestions at all highly appreciated.
He is using CS but I doubt if it is enough.

Fortunately, he is in his early 40's, very strong, and reasonably healthy, a weight lifter and a runner.

I only learned tonight about the catfish fins.
