I am trying to find info re a movie that was made after WW2.It was about a
Japanese prisoner of war camp where approx 5000 prisoners/Americans were
held.They were taken prisoner when the Phillipines were invaded.
Just before the war was over,word got to them that all were going to
executed.
Word got out to the US military, and a special task force made a desperate
push inland to rescue them.
Does anybody have a name for this movie?
This was true as my cousin was one of the prisoners along with her husband
and year old son.
When they were rescued and returned home to Olympia Washington,she told me
the entire story and later the movie came out.I can not remember the title
and she passed on a few years ago with her memory gone;Alz./Dementia?
TIA;
Harold
