It has been my experience that if you get probiotics that are alive
(refrigerated), and take them a few times a day, they will work in any
case.
For example, my son used to get severe (!) diarrhea from antibiotics,
and even when I gave acidophilous with the antibiotics, on an empty
stomach, they worked and got rid of it. I gave them dose for dose, at
the same time, and it worked great. When I got a bottle which had lost
it's effectiveness, it didn't work no matter how much I gave him. There
was even a kind that was a prescription item, it was kept in the
refridgerator at the pharmacy, and cost several times more money than
the bottle at the store. It did work, but the natural stuff worked just
as well, and cost less.
If you just take them, and take enough of them to give the baddies a
run for their money, it will work fine.

Is it correct that one should take these at different times so that the
CS does not destroy the probiotics?
Also, should you take probiotics WITH food or WITHOUT food? My ND
always
said WITH food as the acid in the stomach would be too strong on an
empty stomach and kill much of it.
A friend just said her container says AWAY from food.????
I tried to google, but didn't come up with anything.
