Using externally should not give b.o. Per my files from the above group: I know of no cases of toxicity and would have expected to run across documentation by now if there were any readily traceable to DMSO. The only caveat is not to boil it and inhale the vapors. DMSO vapor is toxic but DMSO liquid is not. It took 10,000 times the therapeutic dose to establish a toxic dose in lab animals.
