I have several accounts I use for surfing the net and garbage type
uses. I have them so they bounce into my netscape mail program and I
don't have to log onto gmail more than once every few months to clean
up. I also let my children have gmail for their use. I do not want my
good home account being spammed from having to use it to sign on to
websites I'm not sure about. Most will sell your email so I use these
disposable accounts. I still have 40-50 accounts I can use or give
away. I have never had a problem with them yet and I can set up a
calendar to text message my phone any appointments or memos I need.
They do pretty good at picking out the spam and leaving them in a junk
mail so only the good email pops into my netscape program.
