I will not take clindomycin. People have died horribly from this antibiotic. They say the chances of a fatal reaction are "remote", but what if you happen to draw the "winning" lottery ticket?
Clindomycin Warning Clindomycin should be used only for serious infections because severe, even fatal, intestinal problems (pseudomembranous colitis) can occur. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop persistent diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain, or blood/mucous in your stool. Your doctor will decide if you require other treatment. These symptoms may occur weeks after stopping use of Clindomycin. Do not use anti-diarrhea products or narcotic pain medications if you have these symptoms. These products may make the symptoms worse. Your doctor will monitor you closely while you are using Clindomycin. I know as I have suffered from something similar. Oral sugeons know very little about this unfortunately. You may have to have an infectious disease doc to get involved. If you can get a dentist to prescribe clindomycin, please try this as it is one of the best for jawbone infections due to its bone penatrating qualities. Also, I order a product from Washington called herbal biotics that is very helpful for this type of infection. If you need more help, you can email me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Moody friends. Drama queens. Your life? Nope! - their life, your story.
