I asked Huggins when I was at the clinic as I have pampered chef stoneware and I also have the German clay non glazed oven units for chickens etc.
He said they all come from the earth (ie. clay or stone etc) and so are very polluted and not to use them as they leach in the heat.... just one guys opinon though, I haven't seen anything in writing during my research to learn more about these.
