Respected CS Forum Friends!
Since we started buying ‘distilled’ water (in 4 gallon bottles) we noticed that
we have been thrown back in time, kind of:
Our brew is grayish, but will be clear later-on.
It has a yellow cloud on the bottom, which also disappears in a while.
The final product is transparent, and it tastes metallic, like it should.
We measure one half hour, for processing then disconnect. We filter our water
with cotton wool (like in the old days) and the final product seems quite fine.
Question: Is this grey color a mist of air in the water? (Grey comes off the
anode the moment our process starts.)
Question: What can the yellow color be? (One thing I do not like of my product.)
Question: Is the quality of my brew okay? (It tastes well, and it is
transparent – it comes from a reliable source and is much bought in Colombia.
We use it daily and we notice no nasty side-effects.)
Thanks in advance for any good counsel.
