I've been spraying myself with CS and going in the sun for years, and no
skin staining. That is all you'd get anyway, I believe, skin or clothing
might get stained. I've never had any clothing stain either though. I
use CS with lavender essential oil as insect repellant, and also spray
any mildly sunburned areas with straight CS before exposure to more sun.
You might like to know the altitude here is over 6000 ft, and the sun in
summer can be brutal. One gets sunburnt quite fast here.
So it seems if skin staining was going to happen, I'd have experienced it?
Does she perhaps use a sunblock? Could she be reacting to that? I almost
never use one, as I have reactions to them.

Any suggestions such as spraying CS. I'm just a little concerned with
spraying CS and sunlight because of the possible reaction causing Argyria.
(I know that if she takes the CS internally there is no problem wuth
Argyria....as has been discussed numerous times on this list, butI'm not
certain if the same holds true when sprayed externally and exposed to
"strong" sunlight even allowing for general suncreams etc).
