Mary: Yes and no. The pain comes from the "cramping" before the big moment starts to hit. Probably more discomfort as opposed to pain.
Definitely worth the inconvenience. (And no I won't build my own, I don't even have a TV and couldn't program the durn thing if I had one... technically challenged here). I will buy one someday and I would use it regularly if I had one. Let us know how it works out for you.
