The last 2 times I have made CS, I had lots of black stuff on one of the rods and a brownish mist coming from them. After straining, I ended up with a clear pale gold CS. I still haven't heard a post on this, though I am assuming it's ok to use. But why the brownish mist and gold all of a sudden - I can't think of one thing I am doing different except leaving it on a bit longer. Pam
