4 oz is 1/2 cup, so 1/2 cup every 20 min is 1 1/2 cups per hour. Which
gives a total of 24 cups of CS per day, not 12?

It has to do with the frequency and intensity of the dosing.
You have to saturate the blood with silver faster than your body can
eliminate it.
In my case that meant four ounces every twenty minutes for three days.
