When using xylitol for gum/teeth problems, be aware it
can lower your blood glucose. Just brushing your
teeth with it doesn't seem to cause the problem, but
when chewing the gum on an empthy stomach, it will.
Well, depending on how empthy the stomach is. I've
chewed the gum after eating and mid morning without
anything negative happening, but I've also chewed it
just before lunch, when lunch was being delayed, and
it really caused my sugar to drop, so be aware...
expecially when giving it to children. gail
