As time goes by, I have grown more and more attracted to individuals
and groups that are able to see -- and accept -- just how bad things
are, yet still strive for constructive solutions.
There's one interesting group in the USA called Sustainable Community
Development. If I were living on farmland I'd be working with those
folks, and learning to farm with Higa's Essential Microorganisms.
Interesting...
A little tidbit - one of the qualities of a 'miracle' plant (es, I'm
using that term deliberately) called 'hemp' is its ability to regenerate
the land... in just one season of growing hemp and plowing it under, it
can transform barren lifeless soil into a rich topsoil.
Abolishing that monstrosity known as the drug war and allowing farmers
to grow hemp would transform our economy - *and* our *food supply* -
virtually overnight...
And in case anyone has the typical knee-jerk reaction - agricultural
hemp can *not* be used to 'get high'...
