It seems that the copyright notice is pretty telling on the book. It basically says that the book becomes public domain and can be published by anyone for free or for profit if the author is jailed, imprisoned, murdered or turns up missing for over a month. It certainly sounds like at least he thinks he has something valuable.
Interesting.. and makes me even more inclined to think there may be something to this...
