Scott,

Magnesium is one of the main minerals for a healthy
heart.  Doctors will even give a magnesium shot when
one is having a heart attack.  Orotates work best.

Also, calcium will often help with palpitations. 
Orotates or coral calcium have been very helpful.

When somebody has a chronic illness, very often the
adrenals are effected.  Can supplement raw bovine
adrenals to help support them.
