Actually - there are electircal properties to colloidal silver.

You are looking at two sides of the same coin. The oxygen atom provides
the means to strip off the electrons from a pathogen, so it is really
both. It is like if you grab a power line, and get electrocuted, is it
the power line that killed you, or the electricity? In actuality it was
both, one could not have had an effect without the other. ALL chemistry
and life is based on electron exchanges.
