There's no reason to "choose a deity".
There's no such thing as absolute trust.
Neither side of anything is all right.
Science is designed to limit crackpots to a minimum, not eliminate
them.
That makes anything new an uphill battle, but not tossed off a cliff
as a witch.
Those who toss witches out of Science are not scientists. They are
"professors" of an anti religion. Clergy, professing.
There is a tendency to believe that if one side isn't absolutely all
knowing, the other side is, thus go from somewhat nutso to completely
crazy and call that progress.
A "Skeptic" is not an anti-believer.
But many anti-believers pose as skeptics.
An anti-believer is a believer.
Skeptics are constantly somewhat confused...the natural state of an
open mind...and yes, it can be tiring being half right and 3/4 wrong
at the same time.
Both believers and anti believers "know".....which isn't really
possible. But it does take a lot less effort to be at rest..assured,
while the Universe just keeps incomprehensibly whizzing by, oblivious
to dispute.
Standing under a roof doesn't stop the rain from falling.
Science can be wrong and so can 6.6 billion faithful people. They can
ALL agree and STILL be wrong.
The faith without proof stripe also have their dead and incurable.
I think maybe we were born that way and no "way" is going to fix that.
Everybody leaves...and nobody gets out of here alive.
If living is winning, everyone is a loser.
The *house* has the deck stacked. You WILL lose your shirt in this
casino. Bet on it.
The dead and incurable have a better idea of when and how, that's all.
Wisdom: Bet on those who win the most often for the longest time,
then hedge your bets.
"This" doesn't eliminate "that", it modifies it.
NO one is "right".
Everyone is relatively wrong.
