What was the color before putting in the peroxide, and what is the color afterwards?
I would think that you could dilute again and add more peroxide until you get a solution that clears, and end up with something that works, but it might be difficult figuring out the exact ppm. However, if you get the dilution right, the same amount of peroxide as you might normally use should clear it. (I think ;-)) Divide it again and experiment with small batches. In spite of the distain usually directed at the infamous "salt test," I think you could use that to compare relative concentrations of your CS if you have some of your standard CS to compare it with. Have fun experimenting... I poured off about half into a jar and diluted it with distilled water about half and half. Then this morning I put a couple of drops of peroxide into it and it turned color right away-- AARRGGGHHH... I guess I was just too tired this morning and not thinking. I should have waited another day or two, but I was impatient. Anybody know what the chances are of salvaging this jar?
