Hello Hanneke,

I have to say I'm still trying to get the feel of
things on this list. I joined the first part of June
because the CS2 was moving so slowly. At first I
mostly lurked trying to get the feel of things myself.
I thought 'wow, they talk about anything', but was
unsure as to what was considered on-topic and what was
considered off, so mostly just lurked. Then Mike
wrote in stating health related topics could be
discussed here and we would get back to discussing CS
whenever somebody wrote in asking a question about it.

I realize you have been a member much longer than I
and know the ropes around here, but for the newcomer
it can still get somewhat confusing. Inevitably,(it
doesn't even matter what group it is) there is always
somebody that feels a need to tell others what to do.
Sometimes it's in a bullying fashion, while other
times it is by gentle persuasion. You were being a
list-cop, imo, (albeit with gentleness) by telling us
what to do. Eventually the moderator will usually
step in to set things in their proper perception. I
always find myself wondering why don't people just
leave the moderating to the moderator in the first
place? It works. Now I'm more confused than ever and
wondering if I shouldn't even talk about MMS. I had
thought it was within the rules but now wonder if
maybe I shouldn't say anything. :(

I have to say in the short time I've been on the list
I have to agree with you about our "well respected"
list owner, Mike. From my short time observations, he
is well respected because he treats others with such
respect, never overbearing, while taking care to guard
each ones' dignity and self worth. I've seen
moderators come off with brute force, while others are
very controlling. Some are very munipulating to
always have it their way, seeming to care more about
what they want than being an instrument of healing.
For what it's worth and for all purposes, imo, Mike
comes off as a very classy act. Nice!

Back to lurking now.

Gail
