Well Ruth, I'm not exactly a 'great mind' but I'll try to answer a few of your questions. I have used a mix of CS at 10ppm and DMSO gel (70%) to cure things like abscess, sebaceous cysts etc., also as in a recent post, it seemed to help sciatica. The DMSO on its own definitely helps pains in the hands which are presumably arthritis. The reason for using DMSO combined with CS is to take it through the skin, as it is a solvent and has the ability to take other elements as well as itself, through the skin. If you use liquid DMSO the ratio according to others on the list, is probably about 10% DMSO to CS. I have not personally used MSM. Hope this helps. Dee
