"There are those that believe that illnesses are caused by exposure to germs and view raw milk as a danger but there are others that believe that illnesses are caused by failure of our immune system to adequately cope. The choice is basically whether to choose foods that are nutrient-dense or foods that has been rendered sterile." Most of coop milk the cows are tested frequently and the milk tested daily. The cows are also mostly on grass/pasture and supplemented with some grain during feeding. They are healthy and milked in clean environments. They aren't supplemented with growth hormones, vaccinations and GM feeds.
Sunshine, good water and pasture work wonders. My husband used to call it tincture of time and therapeutic neglect when we would bring a sick or injured horse home from the track and turn them out to pasture to heal. Serious injuries of course got attention but most of the time they just needed a break and good grass. Just a side note. We purchase a lot of hay for our horses and much of it is shipped in as Florida isn't the best place to raise hay. In the past we have bought beautiful alfalfa hay that our horses wouldn't touch later to find it has been sprayed during curing with chemicals. We drive about two hours one way to purchase our hay that is certified organic. With prices of duel that makes it difficult. The horses eat this hay like it was candy. We could learn a few things from animals.
