Dear Coleen, welcome!

Let me respond to part of your message:

Ahhh, a few of us who experimented heavily with different generation
techniques in the early years have that problem.

Using "filtered water" I would assume that you see visible bubbling and
a cloud of silver compounds forming around the anode (positive
electrode). It is good that you only run it for 7 minutes.

I've met a couple of people who got much worse cases of agyria than
that from protracted use of the old "add a pinch of salt" recipe... the
very recipe I started with and used for over a year. They didn't over-
cook it like the US Senate candidate from Montana did. No, they
followed directions carefully, but then took a goodly number of ounces
per day for several years.

We've learned that you can make very good quality CS that is a mix of
colloidal and ionic with distilled water and longer brew times.

My present rig is designed to give me a quart of decent CS every 12
hours. I can start it at night and decant in the morning. If I'm using
it up fast, I can run a second batch during the day.

It consists of a bank of 9v batteries and a current limiting resistor
that keeps the maximum current under a milliamp or two. The result is
clear, colorless, tastes metallic, has a very slight Tyndall effect,
and has continued to be very effective in several years use.

We've gone almost a decade without needing a pharmaceutical antibiotic
in this house.

I suggest that you investigate general method. We think it is much
safer to use distilled water only.

Yes, and that's the payoff. I consider the very mild discoloration of
my nail beds to be a small price to pay for all the things I have
learned from participating in the research this community has done.

I am just glad I started using distilled water soon enough to avoid
worse.

You're most welcome.

Be well!
