I remember ,back in the 1930s. the folks talking about painting iodine on
the soles of a sick babys' feet,with good effect.I think it was called
"Churchills' tincture".This was one of the remedies they used to use.I still
sometimes paint a patch about the size of a silver dollar on my stomach ,at
night.If it's gone in the AM then it shows I needed it.
Most of the time now I use a liquid iodine for ingesting;one drop in
water/day.
