Yes. Beck recommended a pinch of salt. I am not sure if he changed his mind or died first. The Sota unit initially followed Beck's salt advice. I hope they have changed that advice since then. When they found out this was wrong they SHOULD have mailed every one of their customers to tell them about it, but I don't think they did.

prophylactic.
