What do you consider to be massive doses of Vit. C and where did you get info re Vit C depleting Copper?

I use currently about 20 grams of ascorbic acid a day. I hadn't realized about the copper problem till a friend was researching colloidal copper for another use and found the warnings about ascorbic acid. I did a google search on the two terms and found a variety of research verifying that there is a tendency for copper depletion with use of high amounts of ascorbic acid. Copper deficiency can make a number of problems, including making arthritis pain worse. I have arthritis, and feel I need to be replacing some of the copper. But, as Ode said, if you decide you might need some additional copper, be sure to also google copper toxicity - as too much is probably more of a problem than not enough. Sara
