Leigh,
Yahoo groups are each separate entities, you must sign up and join
each that you are interested in.
You may have to wait a day for approval on the petswithcancer as they
try hard to keep spammer's and other troublemakers away.

Tell you what, I'll send a recommendation to the list so they'll
approve you right away.
