I suppose now you want one with an automatic shut off, since otherwise you could just but some wires and some batteries and a potentiometer and have a go at it.

If I was going to buy a small auto shut off model I would get a silver puppy ( at dot com) and make quarts (or pints or gallons). I think it is the most economical, and there are people who have posted that use them for years with no problem. There are a couple of other machines I have heard of like SG7 or something that makes more quantity that are supposed to be good. I do not know personally because I have not bought a machine myself.

Still it would be a good idea to have a conductivity meter to test your water with beforehand, whether you make your own primitive set up like I have (makes very good quality, though) or if you buy a machine with an auto shut off.

You definitely want one that is constant current. Not constant voltage.

Thanks, Kathryn. Yes, these links answer my question.

Now, the obvious next question is what are some recommendations for machines that make small particle CS?

 Thanks,
 Gene

I posted some links that, upon reading will answer this question:

and www.fugitt.com/cs_notes or something like that. It was today or yesterday, you can check.
