I'm liking the coversation about silver coins used as electrodes for

silver coins, and have looked at some in stores. I am wondering about
silver cleanser. You know when you apply electrical current you get
everything on the coin. On one hand the silver kills the germs. But
what about tarnish and other silver cleaners on the coin itself. They
are probably toxic.
How do you clean the coins in a way that makes them safe to electrify?
