I'm not sure if it got better because of his advancing age or the fact that we started giving him a high fat diet, like hamburger grease that had cooled once or twice a week. We got the idea from a study done a John Hopkins were they said a high fat diet really reduces seizures in people??? It seemed to help though, he was over 18 years old before he passed. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, March 15, 2008 8:51 PM Subject: RESPONSE = CS>Fits When you say "fits", are you talking about seizure-type fits? If so, get his thyriod checked immediately. My mother's dog had these weird fits and it turned out he needed daily thyroid pills which are very, very cheap. Like $8 for a few months supply. Or he could be responding to an allergen to something in his food -- like corn, especially, which dogs do not digest. Or wheat, gluten, chicken by-products. Switch to lamb & rice.
