Gene, You are not the only one who got really bad vibes from this company. I too had unpleasant dealings, several years ago. The unit arrived damaged and it took a lot of convincing to get the guy to take it back, because he didn't believe that it was damaged (why would I lie?). I don't think UPS damaged it, because the outside box wasn't broken -- it was smashed on the inside. He also wouldn't send another one until he had the first one in his possession (my sending it back to him with the UPS tracking number wasn't sufficient). It took me almost one month to get another unit; and I believe I had to pay for the shipping of the second unit. Then he said he'd put my name on a list of customers he didn't want to deal with.
After considerable searching, I managed to track down the same distiller.
